Our Future Blues Schools Programme is back, we now have a variety of different packages available to all primary schools in the Blues Region.

With over 10 years of experience of delivering within schools, through tag rugby our specialist

coaches will deliver a PE and sport curriculum that not only meets the government’s targets for

physical education, but consistently exceeds them.

All of our Future Blues Community Coaches are carefully selected through our strict recruitment

process. As a team, our coaches are a passionate group of energetic and ambitious role-models with

experience in coaching, childcare, education and

much more.

What’s more, all our specialist coaches are:

• WRU & UKCC qualified

• Enhanced DBS checked

• Continually mentored & up skilled through our Community Coach Programme

• Experienced with key stage 2 curriculum based delivery

The Welsh Government, through the ‘Climbing Higher’ strategy has set a target of:

“All primary schools will provide a minimum of 2 hours of curricular based sport and physical

activity per week.”

The Future Blues Project will aim to:

• Ensure that child development is at our core, delivering curriculum based games and learning objectives

• Develop a high quality product that is inclusive to all

• Committed to up skilling your staff and providing CPD opportunities

• Ensure that there is an appropriate competition pathway accompanying the programme

• Enhance the profile of healthy living and physical activity within the Cardiff Blues Region

• Provide opportunities for new coaches whilst ensuring the future development of existing   coaches

• Generate an income to develop a sustainable programme of delivery

We have recently been delivering a 6 week TAG Rugby Programme in The Court Special School, in Cardiff, and Oakfield Primary School, Barry. The Children at The Court School, were treated to a surprise visit from Cardiff Blues Players, Ben Roach and Ethan Lewis, at the final session.
